Christie was born and raised in Crown Point, Indiana and graduated from Crown Point High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University Northwest in 2009. After graduating with honors, Christie was employed at multiple local hospitals as a Registered Nurse in various settings, including an intermediate care unit, operating room, and same day surgical center. During this time, she further expanded her education by earning, with honors, a Master of Science in Nursing from Purdue University Calumet where she concentrated on Family Practice. She was an invited member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society and upon graduation, Christie became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, also which she is an active member. Since 2015, she has been employed by Indiana Surgical Associates as a Nurse Practitioner where she developed a focus on preventative healthcare and wellness. In 2020, Christie and a team of healthcare consultants co-founded HealthPoint Wellness LLC. Driven by her passion of improving patient health, Christie applies knowledge, compassion, and consideration to fulfill her mission in providing Northwest Indiana with proper preventive health advice.
